Febreze

febreze_edited-1

This is one of my favorite air freshener/odor eliminators. I came across this when I was couponing a few years back. I probably never would have bought the stuff because of course I am skeptical about these kinds of things but when I got them for so super cheap and found them sitting in my linen closet I decided to use it once or twice and fell in love with it. My favorite thing to use it for is to spray a room down after one of my kids has had a wetting the bed accident. I strip the sheets off the mattress and after washing the mattress I spray the Febreze directly on the mattress and then spray it in the room with a couple squirts, it does wonders! I leave and the room and it smells fresh and clean again. Now I don’t coupon anymore and it’s still worth the under $3 a bottle you can get it for at target. I also noticed you can buy it in bulk from Amazon here. You actually save money buying it in bulk like that but if you only want to spend $3 go to your local Wal-mart or Target or any store like that and you can pick one up for under $3. Just do it, it will save your life, especially if you have bed wetters, or you just want your house to smell clean and fresh when company comes or just because it’s wonderful to have a clean smelling house. There are tons of scents out there, I like the clean scents and some of the holiday ones they come out with but other than those I haven’t gotten too crazy at the different kinds of smells they offer but they have a lot to chose from. Happy Febreezing, I would love to hear what you think about this one after you give it a try, has it become one of your favorites?

My top 3 uses for Febreze:

1. Airing out a room after one of my kids has wet the bed.

2. Spraying it straight on the mattress after I have cleaned it.

3. Spraying it in a room that just smells musty and needs refreshing (usually my son’s bedroom – don’t tell him I said that:).

Whole Wheat Lasagna Noodles

oven ready lasagna noodles

I have searched and searched for true whole wheat lasagna noodles that weren’t super expensive and that tasted good and I finally found some that fit the bill. I was so excited to find these at Target of all places. Some Target stores have a small grocery part and yep, I found them there for just over $2 a package and one package is enough for a 9×13 pan of lasagna. The only ingredient is Organic Whole Durum Wheat Flour; yep thats it. I love that! As you get to know me more you’ll find that the foods I love to share most are ones that have very few ingredients on the ingredient list or at least ones I can pronounce. Feeding my family healthy things is super important to me. We eat treats plenty around here, but we try to have balance and eat as many whole real foods as we can. (more…)

Rock and Play Sleeper (my favorite for babies from 0-6 months)

rock and play sleeper_edited-1

I love this bed, bouncer, rocker, whatever you want to call it but it has become one of my all time favorites and must haves for baby. Two kids ago a friend offered to let me borrow hers for one of my babies; here is the link to the one I borrowed. I LOVED it! Many of my kids had slept in the car seat for a couple of reasons: 1) they slept better not laying perfectly flat and 2) I got nervous that when they spit up they might choke laying totally flat. When my friend Jessica offered to let me borrow hers I was so excited to try it. I used it with my daughter Emree and LOVED it! I never worried when she spit up that she would choke and she would sleep so soundly because she was slightly snuggled/swaddled in this sweet little bed. I was so sad when she grew out of it. I was able to borrow it again with Crew and again had him sleep in it until the very last time I felt like he could still fit. This time my friend and I are pregnant and due just 3 weeks apart so I have to buy my own. I intend to buy this one just to try out the automatic rocking feature (the one I had didn’t have this feature and was just fine), plus I like the color.
