Hi I’m Deb, a family loving, farm loving, exercise loving, healthy eating (most of the time), mama of almost 8 kids and wife to my favorite man. I enjoy life to its fullest and LOVE sharing all my Favorites with you (if you want to skip details, there’s the quick version).
A couple of years ago my husband and I purchased a small farm in the country and last year we were able to build our home on it. We love the opportunities the farm and space have provided our kids. It has been very busy and a lot of work, but that’s precisely why we took on this venture. I grew up on a farm and personally feel like hard work (one of my favorites) is something that is taught at a young age and stays with you for the rest of your life. We plan to get chickens, pasture cows, raise pigs etc. so it will be fun to share some of these experiences and favorites with you. My parents also taught me how to play and my love for sports and water skiing came from spending time with my family. My family and my beliefs are the most important things to me and as we get to be better friends you’ll see what I consider the best things in life. We have 7 almost 8 kids (I am due in May). The oldest is 13 and the youngest is 17 months. We have had a lot of experiences in our life that maybe I’ll get to share tidbits of along the way with this blog. I love my husband dearly; we have an amazing marriage, but we work hard at it all the time (we aren’t perfect for sure). My kids are my greatest blessings (favorites you could say) and they are my treasures. Even though I love being a mother, it can be trying at times so my therapy is running and other forms of exercise; I’ll share a lot about these favorites on here as well.
This blog was inspired by my love to share all of my favorite things. A couple of years ago my sister gave me a birthday present; it was a brown paper package full of a bunch of items tied up with strings and inside were many of her favorite things (remind you of a familiar song?). I loved the gift so much. We probably all enjoy sharing our favorite things with others and in return have them do the same with us. Isn’t it so nice to have someone you know/trust tell you about something they have tried and love? Sharing favorites saves time and money, which is something we all want more of. I hope we can all become close friends as this blog evolves and save a lot of time and money together. I will always be completely honest in my posts and I hope you will find joy and excitement in trying out some of my favorite things that will hopefully become some of your favorites too.
* I am not sponsored or asked to post about any of the products or things I share. I have just truly tried these things out and love them. I am an Amazon affiliate because many of the products that have become my favorites were purchased through their site.

I found your blog via Mel’s Kitchen Cafe. I have read all your posts and am excited to read more from you. I am a mom to 7 (but not going on 8, yet!) and can’t wait to glean some ideas from another mom in the trenches!

Crystal, I am so glad you like it so far, I was hoping especially to connect with mom’s, knowing a lot of the things I love are applicable to families. Hopefully along the way you can share some of your favorites with me too. I am excited for future posts and am so glad you are enjoying it.
