Cara Cara Oranges (the perfect stocking stuffer, snack, treat, etc. the possibilities are endless)
These are the BEST oranges, they are kind of a cross between a grapefruit and an orange and they they are nothing but goodness, they are very sweet and rich in flavor, natures candy as I call it. I came across these oranges last year at the end of citrus season, after buying a few bags they went away and I was so sad, so when I saw them the other day at Costco I was so excited to see they were back. These are the perfect HEALTHY stocking stuffer too, I love for my kids to have a few healthy things in their stockings. After you read the book Christmas Oranges that I talk about in this post you will understand too the joy of a Christmas Orange, so it makes getting an orange in your stocking that much sweeter.
I have only been able to find these at Costco but to be honest I haven’t looked many other places because I know I can get them there when they are in season. They come in a bag there and you have to look at the package to see that they say cara cara because on the outside they look just like a normal orange, it’s when you peel them and eat them that you notice the difference. You better hurry and go gets some, I promise you won’t be sad you did. I hope you love them like we do.

I finally found these little gems at our local Walmart….you are correct…they are the best! We don’t have Costco anywhere around here (southeastern Illinois) so I didn’t have a lot of hope to find them but just happened to notice them last week.

Ellen,
I am SO glad you found them, I need to remember that not everyone has a Costco close by. What a happy day you found them, I am glad you liked them.
