Himalayan Pink Salt
This is hands down my favorite salt and I’ve been using it for quite some time now and I love it. I went to a class on healthy eating a few years back and they talked about this Himalayan pink salt so I went home and read all about it and I was amazed at all the health benefits. It was a long time ago so now I can’t even remember what they all are, I googled it again so I could remember and I found this website that talks about the benefits. There’s a lot out there on it so you can google it yourself if you’d like. Himalayan Pink Salt is referred to as the purest salt in the world and it’s very rich in minerals. I personally love the texture and the flavor. you only need a little bit as the flavor is strong. I buy this at Costco but I think you can buy it just about anywhere now (it used to only be sold at health food stores), if you’d like to order it in a 1 pound bag I found it on Amazon, here’s the link, this is a good deal and it gets great reviews.
*Here’s a recipe I posted recently that I use this salt in.

That is so exciting. I just saw it at Walmart the last time I was there I will definitely pick some up next time. I had no idea it was that good for you.

Hi Ellen, I am so glad you found my blog! I hope you find it fun and useful in the future. To answer your question about the salt I use it in and on just about everything I would put salt in or on, vegetables, cookies, salad, salad dressings, eggs, pasta, sauces, etc. because it takes a bit to grind if there is a recipe that calls for 2 or more teaspoons of salt I usually just use the regular iodized salt but everything else I use my Himalayan salt for. it comes in a grinder (what you see in the picture is the grinder it comes in when you purchase it) It is a little course when it grinds but very small. I hope you try it and let me know what you think.

Oh I see…thank you for the info! I was picturing eating food with chunks of salt and it didn’t sound appetizing… I am very salt sensitive. I appreciate the response…I know you must be so busy.
