Coarse Ground Malabar Black Pepper

SONY DSC

Since I told you my favorite salt I figured I’d share my favorite pepper too. No long explanation here, it’s coarse and bursting with flavor so if you buy it start small when you first try it out, it has a strong pepper flavor and I find it delicious. Costco for the win on this one too (if you haven’t noticed I kind of LOVE Costco, we’re like best friends).

Larger than your 9X13 casserole dish

Large baking dish 15X10

A friend of mine who has a large family had this giant casserole dish that was larger than your traditional 9X13 pan. With our growing family I can’t just make one 9×13 inch pan anymore for dinner, we needed a little more so this dish was perfect it is 15X10 inches. This is a wonderful size for feeding a large family or entertaining a crowd or just cooking more of anything you want. It’s a great invention, why I didn’t know about it sooner is beyond me but hopefully since I’m telling you about it, means you’ll have the inside scoop on some awesomeness. Here’s the one I bought, this one comes with a lid which I like so I can store things in it or transport it easily, here’s a link for just the casserole dish without the lid and it is a bit cheaper. I haven’t really looked in stores to see if they sell this size but it’s worth a try.

Do you remember my recent post I did with a recipe for Delicious Roasted Vegetables? I used this 15X10 inch pan or those veggies.

Himalayan Pink Salt

SONY DSC

This is hands down my favorite salt and I’ve been using it for quite some time now and I love it. I went to a class on healthy eating a few years back and they talked about this Himalayan pink salt so I went home and read all about it and I was amazed at all the health benefits. It was a long time ago so now I can’t even remember what they all are, I googled it again so I could remember and I found this website that talks about the benefits. There’s a lot out there on it so you can google it yourself if you’d like. Himalayan Pink Salt is referred to as the purest salt in the world and it’s very rich in minerals. I personally love the texture and the flavor. you only need a little bit as the flavor is strong. I buy this at Costco but I think you can buy it just about anywhere now (it used to only be sold at health food stores), if you’d like to order it in a 1 pound bag I found it on Amazon, here’s the link, this is a good deal and it gets great reviews.

*Here’s a recipe I posted recently that I use this salt in.
